My interest in graphic design was something that I discovered while pursuing competitive horseback riding, a hobby that became a very important part of my life. I was intrigued by the advertising that was a part of the equestrian world. This interest led me to pursuing a career in graphic design and photography.

My interest in graphic design was something that I discovered while pursuing competitive horseback riding, a hobby that became a very important part of my life, I was intrigued by the advertising that was a part of the really big shows and the ads people would place in publications such as the Equine Chronicle and NSBA Way To Go magazines. Before long I was advertising and more importantly creating ads for others for these publications.
Simultaneously, I further honed my skills in high school as editor in chief for my high school yearbook. I was very fortunate to have my parents support and they bought Adobe InDesign for me as an eighth grader in middle school. This program was very intuitive for me and I became largely self taught as I immersed myself in the layers of different modules.
I further pursued this area in college and in my decision to major in visual communications at the University of South Carolina. I obtained internships during college at a branding/marketing firm, a publishing/media company, and explored my interest in sports branding. I contributed to the social media platforms for the USC equestrian program where I participated on the NCAA Division I western reining team. Additionally I worked in the USC Student Government as a frequent contributor to their social media outreach and a member of the Communications Team.
I am intrigued to learn about people’s vision and facilitate the creation of a visual presentation of their message. Listening and learning about others around me is an important part of how I plan to execute the concept that needs to be communicated. I am excited to be a part of an ever growing opportunity to help people define their message and share it with the world.
